The idea is simple; First of all go online and find as many agency websites as you can to find bands in your area. Once you get a list of all the bands that sound like they would be your ideal go check out their websites. You would be surprised how many bands nowadays have their own sites. By doing this you can listen to mp3's and videos of their performance and take a look at their song lists - this should narrow down your list considerably.
Don't forget to read other people's testimonials about the band, this could include information that you hadn't thought about such whether they turned up on time, whether they were appropriate at previous functions, whether they were easy to talk to or deal with, whether they were easy to keep in contact with and loads of other questions you may need answered.
Once you have reduced your list to a more manageable size then you could go and see the bands for yourself. Take family and friends because it is good to get as many opinions as you can and also, your friends and family are also going to be at your wedding so they should like the band too. After all this research it should have given you a great selection of bands and hopefully help you choose the perfect one for your special day.
